Durga Pujo @Vedanta Society of Greater Houston

It’s already been a year round the clock and Durga Pujo is here again. I miss Kolkata so much, during the  Pujo days. I see people posting pandal-hopping pictures on facebook right from chaturthi, when it’s just a normal day here in Houston. But as it says,  “Jitna bhi try karo, life me kuch na kuch to chootega hi, to jahan hain, wahin ka maza lete hai.”  Think it this way and you will never fell sad again.

Maybe Houston doesn’t have loudspeakers every street with ‘Mohisasur Mordini’ on to bring that pujo feeling  but we are celebrating Durga puja for two consecutive weekends. The week before we have Houston Vedanta Society celebrating pujo and the next week we have Houston Durga Bari celebrating for four days. Can’t wait for next Friday. It’s Sasthi… yayy!!

A few glimpses of  Pujo celebrations at Vedanta Society of Greater Houston . Saaj-goj and adda-baji were definitely on the cards along with Puspanjali, prasad and photoshoots.
